Crazy Avery

I just had to post this picture even though it's a little blurry. Troy took Parker and Avery to a fundraiser that Laphon's company was having at the Dome and her sweet face just makes me smile.

Parker claims that he hates chocolate, but it's really only chocolate candy. He still loves chocolate munchkins and brownies (especially licking the bowl) so here, he's showing Avery how it's done.

The Breast Cancer 3-Day Walk

From Oct 24-26, 2008, Troy, his mom, and myself walked 60 miles with 3400 men and women in the Breast Cancer 3-Day walk. We started the journey in January and trained and raised money until that faithful morning a few weeks ago. It was the most amazing, difficult, wonderful, challenging, fulfilling, exhausting, accomplishing thing we have ever done. People would honk their horns and stand on the side of the road just clapping saying thank you. I can't tell you how amazing that feels. We would like to try it again some day maybe in another city. Enjoy!

There were signs that people passed around saying reasons why you are walking. We got pictures with the mydaughter, my children, my mother (for Laphon), my grandmother (for GG) and my aunt (for Laphelia).

This is the sea of pink tents that we stayed in on Sat night. It rained so long on Friday that they put us in an empty office building so we only had to sleep outside once, but we had to pack twice.
